Alexander Technique Center of Albuquerque

About the Alexander Technique: We all have the capacity to transcend our personal limitations. Fixed habit patterns – whether associated with trauma, chronic disease, injury, overwork, performance, or beliefs about one’s self – can interfere with how we want to live our lives, and can be replaced with ease, flow, and moment-to-moment adaptability to whatever life brings.  Students of the Alexander Technique learn to make time and space to choose how to respond to life in each moment. They identify and release habitual patterns that cause unnecessary tension in everything they do – gaining practical skills for restoring flow and coordination, eliminating pain, and facilitating self-awareness and reintegration. Karen DeWig offers private lessons, an AmSAT-approved teacher-training program, and introductory workshops and lecture demonstrations for organizations and small groups.
